"About a year ago, I received notice from State Farm that my homeowners policy was set for non-renewal due to a supposedly worn roof and vegetation touching the house—an assessment made entirely from satellite images, which initially irked me. No one had come out to look in person. That’s when I contacted Julie Kerber’s office and began working with Alice. She became my main point of contact with the underwriters, guiding me through the process. She suggested I trim the vegetation and send in photos of the roof, which I did, though the underwriters still rejected them. I then gathered quotes from roofers (who generally said the roof would last a little longer) and also explored switching insurance after 45 years with State Farm. Ultimately, I chose to replace the roof, and with Alice’s help in submitting documentation and photos, the underwriters agreed to continue my policy. Thanks to Alice’s persistence and support, I was able to stay with State Farm through Julie Kerber’s office. While the experience started off on a frustrating note, the excellent service I received locally made all the difference."
